Annotated Image of dust jets 5 of 5
The 7 August 14 OSIRIS image showing the known foreground landmark features that can be used to locate the possible dust jet vents. The image is annotated with three line-of-sight features plus an overhang on the comet head region. This is the best public image of the possible source area of the Polar dust jets and the line-of-sight landmarks point to a well-defined and interesting area on the comet neck. Which, hopefully, will be imaged and released as the area becomes more active.
